Ontem Larry King entrevistou Dick Cheney na CNN. Uma conversa patética, com dois momentos especialmente iluminados.
No primeiro, o vice-presidente disse que os abusos em Guantanamo não existem: "And what we're doing down there has, I think, been done perfectly appropriately. I think these people have been well treated, treated humanely and decently.

Aliás, Bush considerou o Relatório da Amnistia Internacional absurdo (ver aqui). Na conferência de imprensa disse o seguinte:
"It seemed like to me they based some of their decisions on the word of -- and the allegations -- by people who were held in detention, people who hate America, people that had been trained in some instances to disassemble -- that means not tell the truth. And so it was an absurd report."
O segundo momento foi quando Cheney declarou ser uma excelente ideia Laura Bush candidatar-se como presidente, na continuação da saga "Dinastia Bush" (uma outra hipótese avançada há umas semanas seria o seu irmão, o Governador Jeb Bush) e vencendo Hillary Clinton, na outra versão da sucessão. Disse o senhor: "It's a great idea, and I think I know who would win too."
Bem lembrado ! Aliás não pode ser um cargo assim tão complicado: se George o faz, a Laura também consegue.
